Teamwork Against Racist Crime - TARC

Click here to download the Prejudice Incident Reporting Form (PIRF) as a PDF.

TARC is the name given to the function carried out by GREC of receiving, recording on a database and monitoring all Prejudice Incidents across Grampian, as submitted by Prejudice Incident Reporting Forms (PIRFs).

The main reporting agencies for Grampian include: Grampian Police, Local Authorities, GREC, other Partner Agencies and the Scottish Prison Service.

Forms are also monitored by the Police Secondee for particular trends or repeat victims or repeat locations.

Consultation may be made with the relevant Police Race Relations Officer and GREC's Caseworker, Ron Falconer, for consideration of a Victim or Location Case Conference, if felt appropriate.

If a specific school is involved, the Police Secondee will offer to go along and provide an educational Race and Diversity Assembly input or consult with the relevant Police School Liaison Officer, if felt an input from them was more appropriate.

Mike Martin is the person who creates the TARC Prejudice Incident Reports, which are informative and help our partner agencies focus their attention and resources on specific areas or types of premises, as per the statistical evidence.
