1. What is 'The Employabilty Project'?
'The Employability Project' is a phase two of the 'One Step Beyond' project funded by Scottish Enterprise.
It helps you to move on to create more opportunities for you to become integrated with society and become ready for employment.
2. What does 'The Employability Project' mean to me?
'The Employability Project' aims to further strengthen your ability in terms of social and employability skills.
3. How can 'The Employability Project' help me?
'The Employability Project' aims to further equip you with necessary skills through a training and development programme at NO COST to you.
4. What are the contents of the programme?
The programme consists of two parts:
[1] development of core personal skills e.g. literacy, numeracy, timekeeping; and
[2] pre-vocational skills such as creating a CV, job interview techniques coupled with confidence-building, social skils, guidance and mentoring.
5. When will the programme start?
The programme runs on a modular system. It can start whenever the number of participants justifies it.
6. How long does the programme take?
The two-part training programme takes a total of six months to complete.
7. What are the opportunities open to me after the training?
You will be referred to potential employers for trial work or 'Gateway' for advanced job skills development.
8. Are there any childcare services provided during the course training and development?
Yes - if required.
