GREC has become Grampian Regional Equality Council (formerly Racial Equality Council). This decision reflects the wider work GREC is undertaking across the equality spectrum, enables GREC to respond effectively to the Equality Act 2010, to work in greater partnership with other organisations and to play a greater role especially as agents of change on equality issues in Scotland and beyond. GREC members also agreed to a change of legal form from unincorporated organisation to company limited by guarantee; to replace the current Constitution with Memorandum & Articles of Association; and to transfer the assets, liabilities and undertakings of GREC to GREC Ltd.
